Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
The house is ready at last. It took a long time to fix it up so that it was going to suit our needs. The house was not finished when I bought it. From the outside you would think it was a house that looked fine, but you opened the door and looked into the basement down below you. The floor was not complete and neither was the ceiling or the walls. I did all that, but first I looked up at the sky for directv local availability. By that I mean that I checked to see if I could hook up my satellite dish and get a clear signal. It was not sure that I could as there were a lot of trees in the general direction that the dish needs to point. I moved into the place from my apartment, but left a bunch of my stuff with a friend of mine who owned a big house with a storage building.
For awhile I was sleeping on an air mattress in the living room, which was the first thing I finished and the only really warm room because it had a big fireplace. It was not warm in the rest of the place until I got it insulated and by then the weather was getting nicer. Now I still have to do a lot of things, but the house is ready enough that I could sell it and turn a big profit. I am going to put it on the market in a month or two, but that is not going to mean that I am done with the work. The yard is the next thing on the list and it needs to look good. I will not be lowering my price so I can not expect a quick sale.
